The advantage of Tukey is that it can use different statistical tests to detect outliers in sampled data and can calculate a statistic that can compare means between different data groups. Its disadvantage is that it can only handle small amounts of data and cannot be used to compare non-normally distributed data. Tukey is suitable for limited data sets, especially for comparing normally distributed data, but not for comparing non-normally distributed data.
