Preface

Hello everyone! I am Erdan, an engineer who loves technology and is willing to share. In the past few years, I have been sharing technical knowledge and experience with everyone through various channels. I know that every technician has eager expectations for his or her skills improvement and career development. Therefore, I am very grateful for everyone's continued attention and support for me.

In order to repay everyone's love, I decided to launch a special book donation campaign. I hope that through this activity, more readers can obtain valuable technical support and improve their skill levels.

In this event, I will give away a technology-related book to everyone from time to time. These books cover a variety of technology areas, including programming, artificial intelligence, big data, and more. Each book is carefully selected by me, striving to bring you the most valuable content.

At the same time, in order to better meet the needs of readers, I will conduct voting in the giveaway activities of each issue. Everyone can vote for the books they want to get based on their interests and needs. This way, I can better provide everyone with the technical resources they need.

I believe that through this event, we can grow together and continue to explore and progress on the road of technology. I hope everyone can actively participate in this event and share the joy of technology together.

Activity Rules

  1. Follow my blog : Become a follower of my blog and you will be the first to receive all new blog posts and event information.
  2. Leave a message to participate : Leave a message below the article in each issue. Please see the participation method of each issue for the message content .
  3. Announcement of results : A few lucky readers will be selected for free gifts in the comments, and the list of winners will be pinned to the top of the comment area on 2023/9/15 12:00:00 .

The algorithm for selecting fans can be found in the lucky draw of fans in the CSDN comment area , which is completely transparent.

Each event will end after the winners are announced.

way of participation

Participating in the book donation event is very simple. You only need to follow the following steps to be considered as participating:

  1. Follow the blogger .
  2. Python机器学习项目实战Comment " " below this article .

At the same time, following the official account and leaving a message " CSDN昵称:二蛋赠书二期" can increase the weight of the lottery . As shown in the figure below, it is deemed that the lottery weight has been successfully increased.

[Germany] Written by Alexey Grigorev, translated by Danbo, Cai Tianyi, and Ding Hao, publisher: Tsinghua University Press. Book purchase link: https://item.jd.com/13935988.html

about the author

Alexey Grigorev lives in Berlin with his family. He is an experienced software engineer with a focus on machine learning. He serves as chief data scientist at OLX Group, helping colleagues apply machine learning to production.

Outside of work, Alexey also runs DataTalks.Club, a community of enthusiasts who like data science and machine learning. He has also published two other books: Mastering Java for Data Science and TensorFlow Deep Learning Projects.

brief introduction

"Python Machine Learning Project Practice" leads everyone to master key machine learning concepts in the process of building actual projects! Using machine learning, we can complete tasks such as customer behavior analysis, price trend prediction, and risk assessment. Mastering machine learning requires quality examples, clear explanations, and lots of practice. "Python Machine Learning Project Practice" fully meets these three points!
"Python Machine Learning Project Practice" shows realistic and practical machine learning scenarios, and comprehensively and clearly introduces the key concepts of machine learning. In the process of learning "Python Machine Learning Project Practice", readers will complete some fascinating projects, such as using linear regression to predict car prices, deploying customer churn prediction services, etc. Readers will go beyond algorithms and learn to deploy machine learning applications on serverless systems and use important technologies such as Kubernetes and Kubeflow serving models. Everyone is studying hard, hands-on, and enjoying the fun of mastering machine learning skills!
Main contents:
● Chapter 1 discusses the difference between traditional software engineering and machine learning;
● Chapter 2 gives the first project - predicting the price of a car.
● Chapter 3 solves the problem of customer churn prediction.
● Chapter 4 adopts the model established in Chapter 3 and evaluates its performance.
● Chapter 5 deploys the customer churn prediction model as a web service.
● Chapter 6 introduces a project on risk scoring.
● Chapter 7 Building an Image Classification Project.
● Chapter 8 uses the clothing classification model trained in Chapter 7 and deploys it using TensorFlow Lite and AWS Lambda.
● Chapter 9 deploys a clothing classification model, but uses Kubernetes and TensorFlow Serving in the first part and Kubeflow and Kubeflow Serving in the second part.
● Appendix A introduces how to set up the environment for this book, showing how to install Anaconda and Python, how to run Jupyter Notebook, how to install Docker, and how to create an AWS account.
● Appendix B introduces the basic knowledge of Python.
● Appendix C covers the basics of NumPy and briefly introduces the most important linear algebra concepts required for machine learning: matrix multiplication and matrix inversion.
● Appendix D introduces Pandas.
● Appendix E explains how to get Jupyter Notebook with GPU on AWS SageMaker.

Readership

This book is written for people who can program and quickly master the basics of Python. Readers are not required to have any machine learning experience. The ideal reader is a software engineer willing to work on machine learning. However, motivated college students who need to write code for their studies and side projects will also benefit from reading this book.
Additionally, those who are already using machine learning but want to learn more will also find this book helpful. Many people who are already working as data scientists and data analysts have said that this book was very helpful to them, especially the chapter on deployment.
