About the solution to some errors reported during the startup process of SQL server 2012 ( IIS .svc )

Project scenario:

In the process of installing SQL server 2012, some unexpected errors may occur due to the configuration of the local operating system. This article records two errors encountered by the author during use and gives solutions

Problem Description:

1. IIS is not properly configured on this server

2. The necessary .svc handler mappings are not installed in IIS

solution:

1. Use the built-in search bar of the system to search for "Windoes function" Open the system tool "Start or shut down Windows" as shown in the figure
   
   below Make a check
   Note: IIS options need to be checked one by one!
   
   After the check is successful, the problem that IIS is not configured correctly on this server is solved.

2. For the second question, I refer to the official Microsoft website . You can check it yourself. I only give partial screenshots here.
   First of all, for the .svc mapping problem, the reason here is due to the version of IIS, so once again enter the Windows function in the solution to the first question, and set the ".NET Framework 4.8 Advanced Services" option to " Check the "HTTP Activation" option under "WCF Service" to solve the problem of .svc mapping.
