Nominal GDP Real GDP GDP deflator of 31 provinces and cities from 2000 to 2022
1. Time: 2000-2022
2. Scope: 31 provinces and cities
3. Source: GJ Statistics J and Statistics NJ
4. Indicators: Nominal GDP, regional GDP index (previous year = 100), real GDP (based on 2000), GDP deflator (based on 2000)
5. Including calculation steps, you can also calculate the base period you need based on the steps.
6. Calculation steps:
The first step is to calculate GDP at constant prices (using 2000 as the base period)
Real GDP in 2001: nominal GDP in 2000*regional gross product index in 2001/100; real GDP in 2002: real GDP in 2001*regional gross product index in 2002/100, and so on.
Second step GDP deflator (with 2000 as the base period)
GDP deflator (with 2000 as the base period): nominal GDP/constant price GDP (with 2000 as the base period)
Example of GDP index understanding: Beijing’s GDP index was 100 in 2000 and 111.7 in 2001, indicating that Beijing’s actual GDP in 2001 increased by 11.7% compared to 2000.
