On August 10, the "Zhejiang Data Security Governance Forum" and the "Zhejiang Automobile Data Processing Regulations (Expert Suggestion Draft)" seminar were held at the Institute of Computer Innovation and Technology of Zhejiang University.
The theme of this seminar focuses on "Data Security and Data Compliance of Intelligent Connected Vehicles". Industry authorities and experts and scholars in the field of data compliance are invited to jointly discuss the key issues and challenges in the management of automotive data processing activities. The processing strategy and practice path of this paper provide wisdom and suggestions for promoting the innovation and development of automobile data processing activity management in Zhejiang Province. Under the careful guidance of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee Network Information Office, the seminar was hosted by the Institute of Computer Innovation and Technology of Zhejiang University, and undertaken by the Data Security and Compliance Center of the Zhejiang University Institute of Computer Innovation and the Cyberspace Security Research Center of the Zhejiang University Institute of Computer Innovation.

At the opening of the seminar, Gu Xiaowei, director of the Network Data and Technology Division of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee's Internet Information Office, and Liu Xianfei, executive vice president of the Computer Innovation Technology Research Institute of Zhejiang University, delivered speeches respectively.
In his speech, Gu Xiaowei pointed out that "Several Regulations on Automobile Data Security Management (Trial)" has important guiding significance in promoting the compliance development of the automobile industry. At the same time, laws and regulations related to data security and personal information protection may also face many challenges in the implementation level , in order to implement this provision in our province, it is necessary to issue relevant detailed documents. This seminar revised the "Regulations on Automobile Data Processing Activities in Zhejiang Province (Expert Opinion Draft)" in order to serve as the premise and guarantee for the data security and data compliance work of intelligent connected vehicles. It is hoped that through this forum activity, consensus will be gathered, brainstorming and teamwork will contribute wisdom to the healthy, integrated and orderly development of automobile data security compliance in our province, and propose plans to promote the development of the intelligent networked automobile industry.
Liu Xianfei said in his speech that the "Several Regulations on Automobile Data Security Management (Trial Implementation)" are mainly based on two considerations. On the one hand, there is a practical need to prevent and resolve vehicle data security risks; on the other hand, there is an objective need to ensure the rational and effective use of vehicle data in accordance with the law. In the context of dual needs, how to carry out data security and data compliance work for intelligent connected vehicles has become an important issue. This seminar is divided into two parts: drafting background introduction and manuscript discussion. In the introduction of the drafting background, Luo Shanghu, deputy director and researcher of the Data Compliance Center of the Institute of Computer Innovation and Technology of Zhejiang University, sorted out the background of the initiation of the "Several Regulations on Automobile Data Safety Management (Trial)", and reviewed the development of corresponding automobile data compliance in recent years The problems encountered in supporting the work, and at the same time introduced the drafting purpose, drafting basis and the relevance of the content structure of the "Zhejiang Provincial Regulations on Automobile Data Processing Activities (Expert Opinion Draft)".
In the discussion session of the expert opinion draft, more than ten experts from scientific research institutions, lawyers associations, enterprises, etc. conducted a detailed review and in-depth discussion on the Regulations on Vehicle Data Processing Activities in Zhejiang Province (Expert Opinion Draft).
