DC/DC: Closed-loop control boost (Boost) conversion circuit principle design and experimental simulation

Similar to the buck converter, the boost boost converter circuit can also build a closed-loop boost converter with voltage closed-loop feedback control. Design principle, parameter calculation and MATLAB simulation (including source program link) of boost circuit (Boost).

 

The control block diagram of the control circuit is shown in the figure. The PI controller is used to make the controller, and the voltage closed-loop feedback control circuit is constructed. The specific implementation process is as follows: First, according to the requirements of the technical indicators, set the expected output voltage value U_ref, and make a difference between the expected output voltage value U_ref and the actual voltage value U_o to obtain the current control error U_eer, which is obtained after the operation and processing of the control error U_eer by the PI controller The control quantity Uc1, the current control quantity Uc is obtained after the control quantity Uc1 is limited by the upper and lower limits, and the current PWM pulse is obtained by comparing Uc with the sawtooth wave Sw. When the input or load of the Boost converter changes, it will cause the current output voltage U_o to change, and the feedback control circuit will automatically generate a new control value U_c. After comparing with the sawtooth wave Sw, a new duty cycle PWM pulse is obtained. Thereby adjusting the main circuit to quickly recover to the desired output voltage value.

 

Experimental simulation requirements: use voltage single-loop feedback control, design a non-isolated Boost conversion DC voltage source with an input of 10V-15V and an output of 24V.

Device selection: DC voltage source, switching tube MOSFET, diode, inductor, capacitor, resistor, etc.
