According to The Informaiton , Meta is planning to launch a software to help developers automatically generate code called Code Llama .
Code Llama, an open-source software that builds on Llama 2, is said to launch as early as next week. If the news is true, Code Llama will pose a challenge to companies such as OpenAI.
It is unclear whether Code Llama is related to CodeCompose. CodeCompose is Meta's in-house AI coding assistant revealed in May. Its coding models are legally trained from programming data and will avoid potential copyright issues that arise with other AI coding assistants.
