1. Introduce the problem

I turned on the computer today and found C盘that it became popular, as shown in the picture below:

At this point, I knew I needed to expand.

2. Disk partition

On C盘the premise of capacity expansion, we need to find other disks with more free space, and then split them into unpartitioned disks.

The unpartitioned disk is the user to increase C盘the size of the space.

I 磁盘Dhave since done disk splitting as shown in the steps below.

1. Right click on 此电脑the mouse, open management

Or, Windows键+ Rpress the shortcut key to open the running interface, enter compmgmt.mscthe command, and press 确定to open the computer management, as shown in the figure below:

2. In the management interface, click Disk Management and find D盘, as shown in the figure below:

C盘[Remarks] You see me 150G, this is the space after I have expanded, before the expansion is100G

[Remarks] The definition should ensure that your disk to be split and the disk to be expanded are in the same disk.

What does this sentence mean? I need to expand C盘, and the space for expansion comes from D盘. At this point, it needs to C盘be D盘on the same disk as in the figure above 磁盘 0, as shown in the figure below:

3. Right- D盘click on the compressed volume, as shown in the following figure:

4. Waiting for query compression space

5. Enter the compression amount of the compressed space, which refers to the space size of the new partition after splitting, and click the Compress button.

Its unit is MB, and our disk unit is GB, which can be converted as follows: 1GB = 1024MB.

For example, if I want to split 10GBthe partition, then the compression amount of the compressed space is 10240MB.

6. 10GBAt this point, an unallocated space appears , as shown in the figure below:

We could have used the extended volume to allocate this unallocated disk to C盘it.

However, C盘it is separated from this unallocated disk D盘.

Therefore, C盘the extended volume is grayed out and cannot be clicked, as shown in the following figure:

At this time, we need to use a third-party disk expansion tool. There are many such expansion tools on the Internet.

3. Disk expansion

We can integrate non-partitioned disks into it according to the following steps C盘to achieve C盘the purpose of capacity expansion.

1. Unzip the downloaded file DiskGenius工具, double-click to run it DiskGenius.exe, check the agreement, and click the Agree button, as shown in the figure below:

2. right 本地磁盘(C:)click扩容分区

3. Select the previously newly created unallocated 10GBspace and click OK

[Remarks] If yours is not a newly created unallocated space, but an existing disk, there may be data on this disk, and you need to back it up to avoid data loss.

4. Adjust the partition capacity, the default is fine, and then click Start

You can choose to shut down, restart, etc. after the check is complete.

5. The software will prompt the operation and precautions to be done. After confirming that there is no problem, click 是the button

4. Precautions for using DiskGenius

Precautions:

1. If you want to split the system partition, the software will automatically start WinPE版to complete the adjustment work. After the adjustment is completed, the computer will restart and return Windows系统. If the computer system cannot be restarted directly WinPE版, it can be created U盘启动盘, and then PE环境the partition expansion operation can be performed after entering.

2. During the process of partition adjustment by software, do not use other software to read and write to the partition, so as not to affect the operation.

3. When there is some kind of error in the hard disk or partition, such as disk bad track or other potential logical errors, you should solve the problem first, and then adjust the partition.

4. Please ensure that the power supply is normal during the partition expansion process, and do not shut down forcibly.
