In the new version of WeChat for mac, clicking on the link will open with the built-in browser of WeChat by default, and the experience is very poor. If you want to continue to use the system default browser to open the link, you can try the following three methods:
- Place the mouse on the link, right click, and select "Open with default browser"
- Hold down the Command key and click on the link
- Enter ":recover" in the WeChat search box, and a setting page will pop up, check "Use default browser to open links".
The above method is invalid for the links that WeChat has already displayed the content of the page title card. The operation is not as good as opening it with the default browser by clicking directly, but it is still barely usable. WeChat is really trying its best to keep users in WeChat.
