A Survey of RGB-T Object Tracking Technology Based on Deep Learning

Source: Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence

Author: Zhang Tianlu, Zhang Qiang

Summary

RGB-Thermal (RGB-T) modal target tracking aims to use the complementarity of RGB and thermal infrared data to achieve robust tracking of targets. At present, there are many cutting-edge achievements in RGB-T target tracking based on deep learning, but There is a lack of systematic and comprehensive review literature. Therefore, this paper first expounds the challenges faced by RGB-T target tracking, and analyzes and summarizes the current mainstream RGB-T target tracking algorithms based on deep learning. Specifically, according to the adopted baseline (Baseline) Different methods, the existing methods are divided into target tracking algorithm based on Multi-domain Network (MDNet), target tracking algorithm based on Siamese Network (Siamese Network) and discriminative correlation filter (Discriminative Correlation Filter, DCF) Then, the commonly used data sets and evaluation indicators in RGB-T target tracking tasks are introduced, and the existing algorithms are compared on the commonly used data sets. Finally, the possible future development direction of the RGB-T target tracking field is pointed out.
