Smart Link is a smart networking technology, a way for a WiFi module to connect to a wireless router. It is to use the broadcast packet to encrypt the SSID and password and send it through the broadcast packet.

At the application layer, the UDP protocol can send broadcast packets. Therefore, the APP or PC program sends a UDP data packet, and puts the SSID and password in the packet. After the smart socket receives the packet, it parses the packet and obtains the SSID and password. You can configure yourself and connect to the router.

How to connect the WiFi of the serial port WiFi module to the WiFi at home

 

The IoT WiFi module integrates Smart Link, so that when installing the smart socket for the first time, turn on the power to make the smart socket in the connected state, then enter the WiFi password in the APP, and finally the smart socket is connected to WiFi.

The specific operation process is:

1. Connect the mobile phone to the wireless router;

2. Let the WIFI module of the device enter the Smart Link configuration state through the button;

3. Open the APP and enter the wireless router password to configure;

4. The device is connected to the wireless router.

It should be noted here that the router must be the same router, that is to say, the wifi password configuration can only be performed in the LAN.
