Support vector machine (English: support vector machine, often referred to as SVM, also known as support vector network) is a supervised learning method for analyzing data in classification and regression analysis Models and associated learning algorithms. Given a set of training instances, each labeled as belonging to one or the other of two categories, the SVM training algorithm creates a model that assigns new instances to one of the two categories, making it a non-probability two meta-linear classifier. SVM models represent instances as points in space such that instances of individual classes are separated by as wide a distinct interval as possible. Then, new instances are mapped to the same space and pre-defined based on which side of the interval they fall on.
