Solve rogue software automatically download software, automatic pop-up windows, advertisements

 Sometimes you accidentally download rogue software, which not only brings bundled software, but also keeps popping up advertisements. The next few solutions help to solve this problem.

1. Prevent automatic installation

Click the "windows icon" in the lower left corner - Settings - Application (shortcut key Win+i), select the location to get the application as "Microsoft Store only" to prevent automatic installation

 

 

2. Uninstall the software

(1) Open the Control Panel, select Programs and Features, and uninstall rogue software. 

(2) CTRL+Shift+Esc" key combination to bring up the task manager; under "Process-Application", find the pop-up advertisement name corresponding to the desktop, right-click and select "Open file location"; delete.

 3. Clean up the residue

Open the following folders, find the rogue software, and delete it.

C:\Users\Lenovo\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

4. Manage triggers

Right-click "This PC" and select "Manage"; select System Tools-Task Scheduler-Task Scheduler Library in turn; disable/delete the task from the trigger status of a software on the right.

 

5. Pop-up blocking

Open the Control Panel, click Internet Options; select "Privacy", check "Enable Pop-up Blocker", click Settings; check "Show notification bar when blocking pop-up windows", and change the blocking level to medium/high.
