When we are using the hard disk or mobile hard disk, sometimes the folder system will pop up a prompt that "the file or directory is damaged and cannot be read". When you see such a prompt, don’t panic, calm down first, and don’t delete or format the hard disk or the folders in the hard disk when such a prompt appears. Then choose the appropriate method to repair, and share a few methods below for your reference.
Demo model: Dell optiplex 7050
System version: Windows 10
Software version: Hi Format Data Recovery Master 2.9.1705.426, 360 Security Guard 13.0
First Method: Command Prompt Repair
First, we press the "Win+R" key combination on the computer keyboard to open Run;
Then enter cmd in the run window and click OK;
In the opened administrator interface, enter CHKDSK C: /F, note that there is a space after C:, and click Enter;
In the prompt that appears, enter Y and click Enter to restart the computer to automatically repair the system directory problem.
The second method: hard disk attribute repair
First, we open the disk where the file is located, right-click and select "Properties";
Then select "Tools" in the pop-up window, and click "Inspect";
In the error checking window, click to select "Scan drive".
The third method: Hi format data recovery
First of all, open Hi Format Data Recovery Master, the software has six modes, which are accidentally deleted recovery, accidentally formatted recovery, U disk/memory card recovery, mistakenly emptied recycle bin recovery, disk/partition loss recovery, deep recovery, click to select "U disk/memory card recovery";
Then select the hard disk to be recovered, click Start Scan at the bottom, the software will scan the required files, the larger the files, the longer the scan time;
After the hi-format data recovery scan is completed, find the corresponding file in the software, check the file and click "Recover".
The fourth method: 360 file recovery
First open 360 Security Guard in the computer, click More in the lower right corner;
Then switch to all tools, you can see the file recovery, click Add directly;
Then select the disk where the file needs to be recovered, click "Start Scan" after selection, and wait for the end of the disk scan;
After scanning, check the files you want to recover and click "Recover Selected Files".
