The previous article introduced that edge computing nodes have the capabilities of edge containers and edge cloud servers. Today, I will give you a more comprehensive introduction to edge computing nodes from three aspects: network, storage, and database.
1. Edge network
The edge network is a virtual private network that users can customize. It supports flexible setting of network address space and realizes private network isolation. At the same time, the edge network provides security access functions such as security groups and ACLs , and supports user-defined configuration of security access policies.

| routing table | The routing table is the traffic controller in the VPC. Through a global routing table, traffic control at the global and subnet level is realized. You can customize routing rules to control the destination of network traffic. Currently, BEC only supports instance routing. |
| security group | Security groups support defining IP+port inbound and outbound access policies. When creating an edge cloud server instance, it needs to be associated with a security group. If the user does not specify a security group, the instance will be associated with the default security group. |
| ACL | The access control list (Access Control List, ACL) is used as a firewall component applied on the subnet to help users implement security access control at the subnet level. |

2. Edge storage
The edge computing node BEC edge storage overview page mainly displays object storage related information, including the total number of buckets, total number of files and other data.
The following is a simple list of the operation steps for everyone to learn and understand.
1. Log in to the console
2. Enter the object storage overview page from the following path: edge storage => overview.
3. On this page, you can view the overview information of the object storage.

3. Edge database RDS
The edge cloud sinks the RDS database to CDN computer rooms and IDC computer rooms of operators all over the country, and shortens the distance through geographical location and terminal business, effectively reducing delay.

Suitable for scenarios with lower latency requirements and regionally localized applications that can be used on the cloud nearby.
