Czkawka is a simple, fast and open-source application that assists you in removing unnecessary files from your computer.
Useful for finding duplicate images, corrupted files, etc. It's written in Rust and is available for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS devices.
Hiccups
Czkawka also has a CLI version, which is much smaller than the GUI version. First, type czkawka_cli for a list of supported commands and examples. Additional information about CLI versino, as well as general tips and tricks for using the program, can be found on the developer's GitHub site.
Czkawka supports the following operations:
Find Duplicate Files - Search for duplicate files based on filename, size, hash, or first megabyte hash.
Empty Folders - Find folders with no content.
Largest Files - Display the largest files, the default is the top 50 largest files.
Empty files - Finds empty files, similar to empty folders.
Temporary Files - Finds temporary files with a specific file extension.
Similar Images - Finds images that are not identical, such as images with different resolutions.
Zeroed files - Find zeroed files.
Same Music - Find music from the same artist, album and other search parameters.
Invalid Symbolic Links - Find symbolic links pointing to missing files or directories.
Corrupted Files - Finds files with invalid extensions and corrupted files.
