The photographer entered Twitter in 2007 and registered under the name "@x". In an interview, he expressed his willingness to sell the account.

However, on Tuesday he received an email from Twitter informing him that control of his account would be handed over to Twitter .

As financial compensation, Company X provided Hwang with X-related products and the opportunity to meet with the company's top management. “Company X did send an email stating that @x is the property of the company,” Hwang said in the interview.

Twitter's terms of service state that users have no legal rights to their usernames and can delete accounts in cases of trademark infringement .

Hwang's Twitter account was subsequently changed to "@x12345678998765". Hwang did not express his anger, tweeting: "The ending is acceptable, so be it."
