About the problem that the Dell desktop needs to restart the computer to recognize the headset

Computer model: dell vostro 3888

Problem Description:

Under the power button of the main case, there is only one headphone jack. Every time you pull out the headphone and plug it in again, the computer cannot recognize it. You need to restart the computer to recognize it.

At the same time, the headset cannot detect the audio input, which means that the microphone cannot be used

Try method:

See some bloggers download Dell Optimizer or Driver Wizard to solve it, but I can't download Dell Optimizer through the official website

Solution:

Download the audio driver from the Drivers and Downloads | Dell China official website, as shown in the figure, and install it according to the steps. The installation process needs to be restarted         twice .

After the installation is complete, test, and a pop-up window will pop up every time the headset is reinserted.

Select headphone to have only output, select headset to include output and input (microphone can be used)

Microphone test:

1. Right-click the sound icon in the lower right corner of the computer to open the sound settings

2. Speak into the microphone, you can see that the microphone has a progress bar

At this point, I finally don’t have to restart the computer every time to plug in a headset, and I can play games with peace of mind and the voice is turned on!
