Solve the problem that Telegram cannot connect/Telegram is connecting to Proxy under Mac

Open Telegram on macOS and find that it has been stuck in the state of Telegram is connecting to Proxy, unable to synchronize the latest news. This problem is usually caused by not properly configuring Telegram's local proxy.

1. Open your own proxy tool and confirm the local listening port number (Socks5 port number).

Couldn't find it and finally went to Network Preferences

2. Open Telegram, click your avatar at the bottom, and go to Data and Storage > Use Proxy . If you have enabled Proxy, you can delete the original Proxy configuration first. Click Add Proxy to start reconfiguring TG's proxy.

Select SOCKS5 for Proxy type; in the Connection column, fill in 127.0.0.1 (local gateway) for Sever, and fill in the local listening port of the proxy tool determined in step 1 for Port. There is no need to fill in the user name and password, click Done on the upper right to save.

After opening the global proxy, go to the network preferences. Find the advanced point and switch to the proxy (here is socks) to see it.
