first step preparation
Install VirtualBox, because VM charges, so use VirtualBox.
Go to the official website to download the installation package and extension package, link: https://www.virtualbox.org/
After downloading and installing, set it up, manage→global settings
After entering, click Extensions, add the extension package you just downloaded, and click
the small green button on the right Use the plus sign to find the location of the expansion package and you can add it.
Then go to the official website of cent os https://www.centos.org/ to download the iso file (you can also go to other mirror websites to download it)
and choose one at will, go
in and choose the one with 9.2g to download
The second step starts
The above is completed and you can start
Open virtualbox, click New, and
give your system a name.
I allocated 4096mb for memory allocation
and directly used the first vdi format. I gave 40gb
for dynamic allocation, and now it is created. Next, set it up. Click Settings to enter Next Set it up again, and you can check the specific settings online. Add the iso file you just downloaded to the small blue disk on the right side of the storage. Now there is no disk. After all settings are complete, you can start and install the system. For system installation, please refer to Uncle Psy’s linux tutorial. This is the desktop with cent os 8.4 successfully installed.
A few points to note
- When installing the system, select the server with GUI, and select the development tool as an additional option. Because if the development tool is not selected, the installation of the enhanced function will fail, and you need to configure it yourself. The first time I did it, I failed to toss and reinstall the system directly.
- After installing the system, you need to install enhanced functions, as shown in the figure. After installation, files can be shared between the host and virtual machines, and the mouse can be switched seamlessly.
end
After it is installed, it can be used to learn linux. Make good use of the backup function, and if you encounter problems that cannot be solved, just return to the last normal backup.
