In this lesson, you will learn to make a basic button with a cylindrical shape.

Drag the cylinder to the workplane.

Scale it down to a height of 2 mm.

Tip: You can shrink the cylinder using the white dot at the top of the cylinder shape.

Reduce it to a diameter of 16 mm.

This will be the main shape for the button.

Now we can create the holes that allow the button to be sewn to the shirt.

Drag a cylindrical shape onto the workplane.

Reduce it to a diameter of 3 mm.

Move it to the area marked in orange.

Make this cylinder a hole.

Don't forget that you can adjust the snap grid from 1.0mm to 0.5mm for even more precision when positioning shapes.

Copy and paste the hole.

Move the hole to the area marked in orange.

Select all the shapes and group them into a single object by clicking the Group button on the menu bar.
