The G1 pod is fully upgraded, and a new software driver library is added to support multi-platform use

The G1 pod is a self-developed gimbal product that we launched last year. It is small in size and powerful in function. It has received support from many friends since its launch. During the one-year period after the launch, we collected user feedback from multiple parties, and upgraded the software and hardware of the G1 pod based on the valuable suggestions of users.

1. Software level upgrade

1. Software algorithm optimization

Compared with the old version, the optimized software algorithm is more accurate and stable in the initialization operation, the startup is faster, and the environment adaptability is stronger.

2. New software package Amov gimbal camera general driver library

Features and Highlights:

  • Support a variety of platforms; provide ARM/X86 architecture windos/linux library files;

  • Support a variety of gimbals, including but not limited to G1, Q10F products;

  • Rich routines; provide C++ and Python routines;

  • Supports minimal dependencies, no need to introduce third-party libraries other than system libraries, easy to project integration, built with CMake, and easy to deploy;

  • Long-term maintenance is supported, and subsequent Amov gimbal and camera series products all support this driver library.

2. Hardware level upgrade

1. New shock absorbing structure

It can filter the high-frequency vibration when the drone is running, greatly improving the stability of the picture.

2. Structure optimization

In addition, we have also optimized the structural space, reducing the weight of the product from 107g to 99g with the addition of a shock absorbing mechanism, and reserved more load space for users.

3. G1 pod developer kit

The old G1 developer kit is composed of the G1 pod and AllSpark onboard computer and embedded with target tracking algorithm software, which has the characteristics of high precision, fast response control and firmly locks the target in the center of the field of view.

In order to meet the requirements for target tracking in more fields, we have made an upgrade based on the old G1 pod developer kit. The new kit will deploy a new drone vision library , which is not only more powerful and rich in routines, but also can be customized according to user requirements. Free combination of computer, Allspark, pod and image transmission according to actual needs.

Hardware composition : including G1 pod and AllSpark onboard computer.

Software composition : It includes the UAV vision library and two pod vision tracking algorithms, namely the KCF frame selection target tracking algorithm and the YoloV5+DeepSort multi-target tracking algorithm.

4. Application Scenarios of G1 Developer Kit

Finally, let's take a look at the actual performance of the kit through the most typical application scenario of the G1 pod developer kit - long-distance target recognition !
