FCC certification is a mandatory certification in the United States. FCC stipulates that all electronic and electrical products with a working frequency above 9KHZ must be certified by FCC (electromagnetic compatibility certification). There are three common certification methods: Certification, DoC, and Verification. It can be understood that FCC has different control levels for different products:
1. Certification : Products with radio transmitters must do FCC Certification (infrared transmitters are not within the scope of regulation), The practice is that the FCC-accredited laboratory submits the test report to the FCC or TCB (Telecommunications Certification Body), and the ID number is issued after the FCC or TCB has passed the review.
2. Doc : Common products include IT products, microwave ovens, energy-saving lamps, ballasts, etc. DOC is the abbreviation of Declaration of Conformity (Declaration of Conformity), but unlike CE, which has no qualification requirements for laboratories that issue compliance reports, FCC's DOC reports must be obtained by NVLAP CODE (National Laboratory Accreditation System of the United States) NVLAP CODE or A2LA must be indicated on the DOC report, otherwise the report will be deemed invalid. Please note: products that do DOC can also apply for ID, that is, they can also do Certification.
3. Verification: Common products include audio and video products. A test report issued by a laboratory generally recognized by DOC is enough. It should be noted that products that do Verification cannot apply for ID, even if they are sent to FCC or TCB, they will not be accepted. In addition, the division of products for FCC certification is determined according to their functions. Note: FCC DOC reports must be issued by laboratories that have obtained NVLAP CODE or A2LA. NALAP CODE must be indicated on the DOC report, otherwise the report will be deemed is invalid. It should be: The FCC DOC report can only be issued by a laboratory that has obtained the NVLAP CODE or A2LA CODE, and the NVLAP CODE or A2LA CODE must be indicated on the DOC report, otherwise the report will be deemed invalid.
