Getting Started with Bentley ContextCapture Center (1)

  1. What is ContextCapture Center

Generate detailed 3D reality meshes for the largest projects, including cities, using photo or lidar point clouds.

ContextCapture Center has powerful computing power and can easily handle very large projects. It leverages grid computing to dramatically speed up processing times by running multiple engines on multiple computers and associating them into a single job queue. You can accelerate production with the latest computing systems for desktop and cluster processing units, including GPU computing, multi-core computing, advanced bundled block adjustments, tiling mechanisms, task queues and monitoring, grid computing, and very large project management. 3. Introductory operation part

① New construction

Run ContextCapture Master, click to start a new project in the pop-up window, specify the project name and save directory

② Add video

In the newly created project file, click Image-Add Image, select the file to add or add the entire directory

③ Aerial triangulation calculation

Click [Block] - [Aerial Triangulation Calculation] - [Submit Aerial Triangulation] in the upper left menu, or click [Submit Aerial Triangulation] in [General], select [Process with ContextCapture Engine], and open the Engine at the same time .

After that, set [Output Block Name], [Positioning\Geographic Reference] in sequence, and make some settings, and click the [Submit] button after completion.

Observe the progress bar, the calculation is in progress.

④ Perform 3D reconstruction

Click [Reconstruction] - [New Reconstruction Project] in the upper left menu, or directly click [New Reconstruction Project] in the overview to complete the creation of the 3D reconstruction project.

After that, complete the relevant settings of [Space Frame], [Reconstruction Assist], [Reference 3D Model] and [Processing Settings] in sequence.

Spatial frame: set the bounding box, whether to slice or not, and edit the region of interest.

Reconstruction assistance: add some other data to assist in 3D reconstruction

Processing settings: set relevant parameters as needed

After completing the above operations, click Submit to complete the settings such as purpose, format, scope, and target, and click Submit to perform calculations.
