RFID tags are an alternative to using barcodes to identify items. With one exception, RFID tags use radio signals, which allow large quantities of goods to be scanned in a short amount of time. Additionally, tags are often used to identify employees in a company.

This tab contains 4 databases:

  1. The reserved database contains two passwords (access and kill). With the first one, access to certain banks or parts of memory can be controlled on and off. The second is required for permanent disconnection or reuse (if supported by the tag). Each password must not exceed 32 characters.
  2. Electronic product code library.
  3. Tag ID library.
  4. user database.

All banks except the first one can have different volumes, or they can be frozen by suppliers; all mentioned are described in the properties of the tab. The data format standards for these banks are described in this document .

For local use, any data format convenient to the user can be used for processing. Labels in FastReport .NET are represented as report objects. To edit it, you need to double click on the object on the report page in the designer. The editor is divided into tabs, each containing properties for a particular memory stick and a tab with other tabbed options.

In the bank's tab, you can enter static data in fields with names. Or you can use data columns from the following data sources. But in order for the data replacement to be done correctly from the source, there must be only one database on the page. It is this band that will use the data source.

In the reserved database, passwords are written only in hexadecimal digits and 8 characters in length. Also, if no access password is set (with a non-zero value), access mode control will have no effect. In all other banks, you can choose to write data in hexadecimal or ASCII-encoded string format.

In addition to these fields, there are other settings. For more information, see the ZPL format documentation at the link below.

Some Zebra printers can program RFID tags, so their export to ZPL is added in addition to the RFID tag objects themselves.

Note: RFID tag objects must be a single quantity on the page in order to export correctly.

The new page object RFID Tags in FastReport .NET allows users to create tags or cards using this library without the need for third-party RFID tag encoding software.
