Chapter 2 Roboguide Installation and Registration Steps Detailed Explanation

1. What you need to know before installation

1. How to get the software

1) Purchase from Shanghai FANUC Robot Co., Ltd. through official channels; after installing ROBOGUIDE for the first time on a new computer, there is a 30-day trial period. After 30 days, you need to purchase a license to use the ROBOGUIDE software normally.
2) Unofficial channels, see a certain treasure, a certain fish; it seems to be very cheap, I suggest you spend money to buy a convenient one.
The software installation steps of the two are exactly the same, but the last registration step is slightly different.

2. Version Description

The latest version of Roboguide software should have reached version 9.4 (Rev.T). This is the latest version I have at hand, and of course there may be newer versions. This version needs to correspond to the on-site robot. If you want to directly import the backup of the on-site robot to generate a simulation robot, the Roboguide software version must be no lower than the on-site robot version. For example, V9.3 and V9.4 software can open V9 .3 Robot backup, V9.1 will not work.

I haven't paid special attention to the compatibility of different versions. At present, the simulation unit created by the lower version can generally be opened by the higher version of the simulation software.
It should be noted that when installing Roboguide, you also need to select the version of Virtual Robot. As shown in the figure below, you don’t need to select all. Generally, you can choose the version after V7.5. The robots of V7.4 are already very old.

3. System software and hardware requirements

1) System software
This picture is taken from the official document, which roughly means that the software is installed on the Windows system. There is no software package for the Linux system, and it should not support virtual machines or install it on a server and then multi-user access.

It is best to have a separate graphics card, especially when building a simulation unit with many models.

Transferring a license is divided into the following steps: preparation of documents, transfer of registration information, receipt of registration information.
