Chapter 2 Data Loading

1. Load well data

Idea: The loading of well data is mainly divided into three parts: loading of well location, loading of logging curve, and loading of layered data. The focus is on editing the format file.

1. Loading of well position

(1) Edit the well location file: well.dat

Command Menu—Data—Import—ASCII Well Loader

①Input file name: file:home/ow2003/well.dat (Figure 1)

(2) Edit format file

ASCII Loader ——edit—format（图1）

ASCII format edit—— format—new（图2）

Enter the directory and file name of the well file home/ow2003/well.dat in the data file, enter the directory and file name/aa.wdl of the format file in the format file, and then OK (Figure 3), and the data will appear well.dat window ( Figure 5 ).

Select the well header in the Data Category of the ASCII format edit window ( Figure 4 ) , and select in the Data Items

(3) Load well location data

ASCII Loader——file—load ( Figure 1 ) , display the loading process, and the loading is completed.

1. 1. Loading of well logs

Idea: Well logging curves have data in many different formats, the commonly used ones are LAS format and ASCII format. Among them, loading in LAS format is relatively simple. This article will take the ASCII format as an example, and pay attention to the editing of the format file during learning.

(1) Edit the log data file: t163.dat

Among them, aa, bb, and cc are added for the convenience of defining the format.

Idea: The idea of ​​loading layered data is very similar to that of well location data, with the emphasis on editing format data.
