This article records how to completely uninstall Solidworks so that another version of Solidworks can be installed smoothly
After we have installed one version of Solidworks, if we want to install another version of Solidworks (especially the lower version), we need to completely delete the current version of Solidworks, so that the new version can be installed smoothly. Or if you just want to completely uninstall SW, you can also refer to this article.
Uninstall SW
First, Solidworks needs to be uninstalled. Here I use a TotalUninstall software, this software is more powerful than the system's own uninstaller in that it can delete all the things related to the uninstalled software, including the registry and so on. The link to the software is as follows:
The software completely uninstalls TotalUninstall.exe-Other Documentation Resources-CSDN Library
Double-click TotalUninstall.exe and search for solidworks in the installed programs:
After the analysis is complete, click Uninstall above and follow the process.
In the middle, there will be a step of calling SW’s own uninstaller. In that program, delete all components and check and delete all things including the registry and download data.
Then follow the process to delete all the registry and so on.
Remove VBA 7.1
After uninstalling SW, if you want to install another version of SW, you need to delete the existing VBA, refer to the following blog:
Then you can successfully install another version of SW~
