Last Friday, I discussed with Wang Ying, the co-founder of Haifeng Legal and Haifeng Kunxing, the opportunity of GPT in the legal industry. First of all, the industry basically believes that the method of adding a large model to a small industry model is feasible, but to implement it in the legal industry, it is necessary to solve data security and privacy issues. Second, before the big model matures, the legal industry is exploring the possibility of providing automated legal services, such as legal consulting robots. After the large model matured, the industry began to accelerate exploration. Third, the implementation of GPT in the legal industry needs to solve credit and cost issues. Well-known law firms and well-known lawyers are more likely to gain the trust of customers, compared with the lack of sufficient trust in legal service tools. In the to law firm scenario, because the labor costs of trainee lawyers are very low, lawyers are not willing to pay for professional legal services. Finally, in the choice of to B and to C markets, to B is more mature. For example, progress has been made in contract review and corporate legal management. The complexity of the to C scenario is higher, and the willingness of users to pay is not high, so it is unlikely to be implemented in the short term.

More dialogue essence can be reviewed through the "Live Replay" tab in the LiveVideoStack video account.

In the future, many scenarios including the legal industry will usher in opportunities for GPT innovation, but continuous exploration and experimentation are still needed to achieve engineering implementation.
