MXF video file corruption issues
The MXF video of the Panasonic AJ-HPX298 camera was deleted by mistake. After the deletion, no new video was shot and no data was stored, which means that there was no secondary damage, but the recovered video file could not be opened. According to the common principle of file recovery, the recovered video files should be openable. What is the reason for this?

In case of file corruption, we must first analyze whether the header and tail of the file are normal, use code analysis software, open the file, and check the file header as shown in the figure below, it can be seen that this is a normal MXF video file header.
Pull to the end of the file to check the code, as shown in the figure below, this is a wrong end of the file:
Then analyze the intermediate code and find that there are many non-MXF video file code data in the middle, which shows that there are many file fragments in the middle of the damaged file, and the code of the restored file is wrong and incomplete. Once you figure out what the problem is, you can start to deal with it.
The first step is to remove redundant codes, and all fragmented codes that are not complete files should be deleted, otherwise it will eventually lead to blurred screens and freezes.
The second step is to complete the missing code. From the analysis point of view, the end of the file is wrong. You need to find the correct end of the file to complete, otherwise the video file cannot be opened.
After these 2 steps of processing, the MXF video file can be played normally.
