First of all, the icon does not display, which is the following situation

method one:
Because it has just been downloaded, just shut down and restart
If method one doesn't work, try method two.
Method Two:
Right click on the blank interface to enter the settings
Note: This method may only work for win10, but this method does not work for win11
After the change, a restart is required to take effect.
If method 2 fails, method 3 can be used.
Method three:
Win+R regedit enters the registry

Rename the Tortoise series name (sort by empty value, so it is OK to add a few spaces in front of the name)
Principle
Windows Explorer Shell supports up to 15 Overlay Icons, and Windows itself has used 4, so there are only 11 left for us to use.
If you have installed software such as OneDrive and Baidu Cloud Disk before, then we can use even less, and it is not Tortoise's turn.
In a situation like this, we can adjust the alphabetical order of the icon names to increase the priority, but similarly, if other software has a low priority, then the icon may not be displayed
Note: Remember to restart the computer every time you use a method (it can be called restarting the windows operating system)
