Three ways to transfer files between windows and virtual machines

Hello everyone, when you are studying and working, you may have such a need: to transfer the files in Windows to the virtual machine or transfer the files of the virtual machine to Windows, how do you achieve it?

Today I will introduce to you three ways to transfer files between windows and virtual machines, hoping to help you.

Method 1: Use U disk to transfer

We are all smart people, everyone must understand this method, as long as you have used a USB flash drive, you should know how to operate it, so I won’t introduce it here.

Method 2: Transmission via software FlashFxp

FlashFxp can transfer files between windows and virtual machines. The method of use is to install the software in Windows, and then connect to your own virtual machine through the software, so that files can be transferred to each other.

When you connect to the virtual machine, you need to pay attention to the information in the red box in the figure below.
One is the IP of the virtual machine, which can be viewed by entering "ifconfig" in the virtual machine.
The connection type and port can be entered as shown in the picture.
The second is that the user name and password must be consistent with those of the virtual machine, that is, the account password you enter when you log in to the virtual machine when you start it.

This is what it looks like after connecting. After connecting, you can transfer files to each other.

Method 3: Set up a shared folder in the virtual machine.
Operation method: Open VMware–>Virtual Machine–>Settings–>Options–>Shared Folder (see the figure below), and you can put D in Windows in the shared folder. Disk or other disks are shared to the virtual machine. For example, I shared the D drive and E drive to the virtual machine.

After sharing to the virtual machine, we open the folder of the virtual machine, and find our shared directory through the following path: computer –> mnt –> hgfs, and you can see your shared D drive and E drive in this directory.

Well, I will introduce these three methods to you, and I hope it will be helpful to you. If you don’t understand, you can leave a message in the comment area. What other good methods can also be discussed in the comment area. Thank you for your support!
