In the past two days, the installation of vmware+ubuntu20.04 has failed to drag and drop (vmwaretools has been installed). I have read various tutorials, but it is useless, and it is not a configuration problem.
Here is just the final solution:
1. Use the vmwaretools installation package file to uninstall vmtools first
2. apt-get install open-vm-tools-desktop
3. reboot
problem solved.
Remarks: At this time, the desktop drag and drop is still not possible, the reason is that the permissions are not enough, open ubuntu, home/username/folder, try to drag and drop and it will be ok.
