The SII9575CTUC port processor is the latest generation HDMI® port processor for audio video receivers (AVR), set-top box home theater (HTiB) and digital television (DTV).

Port processors feature many innovative features such as InstaPort®, InstaPrevue, Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL®), ViaPort Matrix Switch and Audio Return Channel (ARC) technology.

The SII9575CTUC port processor provides a range of audio functions, including audio extraction and insertion. Audio from the active HDMI input is sent to the main or sub audio output port. The main audio output port supports High Bit Rate (HBR) audio. Additionally, 2-channel I2S or S/PDIF inputs receive PCM or bitstream audio from an audio DSP or DTV SoC and output to the main or sub HDMI output, or both.

The SII9575CTUC port processor supports two independent ARC transceivers. Each ARC transceiver can be configured as an ARC receiver or transmitter. As ARC receiver in AVR or HTiB design, Tx0 or Tx1 HDMI output can receive ARC signal from DTV. As an ARC transmitter in a DTV design, ARC signals can be routed from two of the six Rx HDMI inputs (designated as ARC capable) to an AVR or sound card.

The MHL to HDMI bridging feature is available on two input ports; this allows consumers to connect their mobile device to an AVR or DTV and watch HD content while the AVR or DTV is charging the mobile device battery.

SII9575CTUC device supports ViaPort matrix switch. When the primary HDMI output selects one of the HDMI inputs, the secondary HDMI output can select either another HDMI input or a parallel video input. This is ideal for AVR region 2 support or PIP/POP functionality in DTV.
