Use Footprint Analytics to quickly build blockchain data applications

Nov 2022, [email protected]

If you have a website or app that deals with NFTs or blockchain, you can display data directly to users on your platform to keep them engaged on the site or within the app, rather than linking and bouncing to other sites.

For any blockchain application or media or information website, by displaying data charts (such as Coinmarketcap or DappRadar) on the website, business trends can be reflected, and the platform can bring higher value to users. This kind of data application, which used to require a lot of developer resources to build, can now be implemented in just a few minutes.

Footprint Analytics enables any website to quickly and easily embed our powerful and flexible visualization capabilities. Additionally, anyone can use Footprint Analytics' data API to build their custom Web3 applications.

Our vision is blockchain analysis made easy; everyone can use the Footprint tool to build analysis tools and applications.

Currently supports 3 methods:

  • iFrame (embedded in web page)

  • widget (embedded component)

  • API (direct call data interface)

In the future, we plan to create more infrastructure tools for analytics developers/analysts to build and customize their own applications.

1. Website embedding

Developers use iFrames (built-in embedded web pages) to load an HTML document within their website. This file may also contain JavaScript or CSS.

To integrate Footprint Analytics' data panels using iFrames, just select some charts and create your own dashboard, or you can choose a suitable panel already created by the community. Then click the share button, copy the code to embed. Insert Data Panel into your website with just one line of code.

Footprint Analytics Embedded Components

Footprint Analytics has developed some NFT embedded data components to support any platform to display the data of head collections on the website. You mean that you need to select the indicator you need from the list of embedded components, and simply embed the code into your website to display the corresponding data on the website.

Currently, the widget can display the top 6 or top 12 NFT collections, along with one of three metrics for each collection — volume (7 days), reserve price (7 days), or market capitalization. Users can also choose between white or dark mode.

To ensure that the data displayed by the widget is meaningful, Footprint filters out wash trades from the 7-day volume metric. The NFT collection at the head reflects the actual on-chain market activity.

2. Footprint Analytics Data API

Footprint Analytics has the most comprehensive on-chain data index warehouse, covering 22 public chains, 14 NFT markets, more than 1,900 GameFi items, and more than 100,000 NFT collections.

Now, Footprint Analytics puts all of this data at the world's fingertips through a unified data API. It allows developers to call from a database containing structured data for all these protocols with a single query, or easily customize the data API when needed. Since the API is cross-domain, users can access NFT, GameFi and address data through one tool. Wash transaction filters provide users with the option to filter out meaningless and fraudulent data.

Flexible API, available in SQL and REST versions, is an enterprise-grade Web3 tool that connects any technology stack to a blockchain network.

3. Make on-chain data analysis more accessible

As we covered in an article last week, on-chain data shows that FTX was on the mend before the crash . If more people, not just professional analysts, were able to explore blockchain data, perhaps problems could be spotted earlier.

Despite the current negative market sentiment, we believe the industry will continue to grow as blockchain developers continue to build. But an easy-to-use data platform will be critical to rebuilding trust in cryptocurrencies and NFTs.

Our iFrame, widget, and API integrations allow developers to quickly and easily leverage historical data from 22 different chains, thousands of protocols, and a collection of over 100,000 NFTs. Footprint aims to be the infrastructure for developers to build applications on our platform, providing data insights without further development on the front end, and facilitating product developers to quickly launch and test product concepts. Using the data API of Footprint Analytics allows you to customize a better user experience and user interface according to the product design.
