Recently, I bought a millet router 4A Gigabit version, and I planned to use the CH341A programmer to flash it as an old man, but when I disassembled the machine, I was dumbfounded, and the chips and hardware layout on the entire circuit board were changed.
This is the boss:
this is the new board:
the two pictures can clearly see that there are great changes, so, does the previous flashing method still work?
After testing, the following problems appeared.
First of all, I can successfully brush the breed [breed-mt7621-pbr-m1.bin] through the programmer, but there are problems when brushing old hairs on the breed (not to mention other custom versions similar to OpenWrt, which are not at all cannot be brushed).
The biggest problem is that the network cable is already plugged into the WAN port, but the router does not recognize it.
After a series of tossing and turning, it turned out that all the network cards were messed up, WAN
the port became LAN1
, LAN1
became LAN2
... However LAN2
, WAN
the port did not become a port, it disappeared directly, and as a result, WAN
the port , causing the router to connect without WAN
a port Do not go to the Internet.
Another problem is that there is only 2.4G signal, no 5G signal.
I also found a few posts on the Enshan forum, which are very similar to the situation I encountered:
- [R4A] Question about Mi R4A with new firmware version 2.30.20
- [R4A] Mi 4A Gigabit Edition (R4A) hardware found another version
How to solve?
At present, there is no good solution. We need to wait for the community leaders to support the new chip, and then modify the firmware code of each version of the Mi Router 4A Gigabit Edition. . .
