On August 10, 2022, the "2022 Digital Transformation and Development Summit Forum" jointly sponsored by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (hereinafter referred to as "ICTA") and the China Communications Standards Association was held in Beijing. 【Low-code technology development timeline】

Low-code has a long period of free development, and the competition track is blurred. In 2014, Forrester put forward the definition of low-code, "a technology and tool that can quickly develop applications with little or no need to write code, and can be quickly configured and deployed."; In 2018, Gartner proposed and promoted aPaaS and iPaaS Concept, continuous technological innovation makes low-code attract more and more people's attention.

[Low-code product capability framework]

The report summarizes five common capabilities of low-code products, and combines the two product types of low-code development platforms and development tools to form a low-code capability framework diagram.

The report launched a low-code product capability positioning map, focusing on low-code technical characteristics, with customization and visualization as the horizontal and vertical axes.

  • Visual dimension: measure the degree of visual encapsulation of low-code products. The higher the degree of visualization, the larger the developer team, the deeper the application scenario mining, and the more complete the development model.
  • Customization dimension: measure the customization and personalized support of low-code products for complex business scenarios. The higher the degree of customization, the higher the degree of freedom of product development, the greater the coverage of scenarios, and the higher the degree of completion of specific business scenarios and enterprise personalized needs.
