Eclipse displays spaces. Enter symbols, remove the corresponding symbols

This is set in your eclipse to make all blanks (spaces, TAB, and carriage return) displayed, and the way it is displayed is what you said.
If you don't want this, you can remove the hook in Show whitespace characters in the menu window->preferences->General->Editors->Text Editors in eclipse.
