Simple operations under Linux to play with MySQL (service startup and shutdown, startup and shutdown, viewing version)

The younger brother recorded the simple use of MySQL under the Linux system today, as follows:

Service startup and shutdownStartup and shutdownView version

environment

Linux version: centeros 6.6 (shown below), Ubuntu 12.04 (see the red marked font at the end of the article)

MySQL version: 5.1.73

Check the startup status of the MySQL service,

Enter the command: /etc/init.d/mysqld status

or: service mysqld status

Note: The above operations are all carried out under the center os system. The younger brother also tested it in the Ubuntu system. Unlike the center os, the d after mysqld in the commands used in the center os needs to be removed in Ubuntu. The above All the commands shown can directly replace mysqld with mysql.
