1. Preparation before installation
1. Download the installation package, which can be downloaded from the MySQL official website www.mysql.com , as shown in Figure 1-1:

2. Installation
1. Double-click the downloaded installation file. The MySQL version installed in this blog post is 5.6.10.1 , and the page shown in Figure 1-3 appears :

2. Click " Install MySQL Products " to enter the page as shown in Figure 1-4 :

3. After checking " I accept the license terms ", click " Next ", and the update page for finding the latest product will appear as shown in Figure 1-5 . If you don't like the update, you can select " Skip the check for updates(not recommended) ”, click “ Next ” to continue:

4. Select the installation type that suits you according to the installation type description file on the right, as shown in Figure 1-6 , pay attention to modify the installation path, in case you need to install MySQL again after reinstalling the system :

5. According to the installation type you choose, some frameworks will need to be installed . Click " Execute " to install the required frameworks, as shown in Figure 1-7 :

7. The prompt after the framework is installed successfully, as shown in Figure 1-9 :
8. After the required frameworks are installed successfully, as shown in Figure 1-10 , click " Next ":

9. Start the installation, as shown in Figure 1-11 , click " Execute ", the interface during the installation process is shown in Figure 1-12 :

10. Confirm the configuration information, as shown in Figure 1-13 , click " Next ":

11. Server configuration type selection, Developer Machine - the installed MySQL server as part of the development machine, among the three types of options, occupies the least memory; Server Machine - the installed MySQL server as a part of the server machine, occupies the memory The three types are in the middle; Dedicated MySQL Server Machine - installs a dedicated MySQL database server, occupying all the effective memory of the machine. No modification is required, the default port 3306 , etc. can also be left unchanged, click " Next ":

12. Set the administrator password, as shown in Figure 1-15 , select " Add User ", and you can create a user at the same time. From the perspective of security, it is best not to create a user:

13. In the interface as shown in Figure 1-16 , you can set the system server name, whether to automatically automatically MySQL database server when the system starts, the default option can be used, click " Next ":
