The role and difference between more and less

The page-turning command used in Linux to view large text.

more: You can page down, use the down arrow to turn pages.
Example: more abc.txt

less: You can turn pages up and down, and use the up and down arrows to turn pages.
Example: less abc.txt

The difference between more and less: more can only page down, not up. While less is more flexible, you can turn pages up and down.
