  normal method:

  1. The mobile phone needs to enter the download mode (a mode unique to Samsung mobile phones) (startup method: volume down key + Home key. Press OK after the menu appears, or enter through the adb reboot download command when it is turned on directly)

  2. Install the Samsung driver (you can use the mobile assistant and other tools to automate the installation)

  3. Open the odin software and download

  4. Select the root file in the pda and click start

  5. Wait for android to start

  For example: to root the Galaxy Ace i8160:

  Note: Do not unplug the battery during the rooting process, keep the battery at 85%

  2) Copy  update_su.zip  to memory

  3) Switch the phone into download mode, odin will automatically recognize the phone

4) Flash I8160XXLD8_ready_to_root_ANT.tar.md5  (Original :  I8160XXLD8_original.tar.md5 )   with the pda part of  odin

  5) Shut down and enter recovery mode (“Volume up key + Home key + Power key”).

  6) Then select "apply update from sdcard" and select the update_su.zip file

  7) Restart the phone

  8) Success
