destination host unreachable

The virtual machine is installed, and the default bridge is selected for Ethernet. After installation, it cannot ping the host (192.168.8.2), nor the gateway 192.168.8.1, and displays "destination host unreachable"

solution

At first I always thought that there was a problem with the linux configuration, but later I found that there was a problem with the virtual machine

In VMware Workstation, click the menu Edit -> Virtual Network Settings (S), open the "Virtual Network Editor", in the "Summary" tab, you can see:
Virtual Network Summary
VMnet0 (Bridged) Bridged to ADMtek AN983 10 /100 PCI Adapter - packet scheduler miniport
VMnet1 (host only) A private network connected to the host
VMnet8 (NAT) for sharing the host's IP address

Since I selected "Bridged" in the Ethernet "Network Connection", I switched to "Host Virtual Network Mapping" and saw the value behind "VMnet0": Bridged to an automatically selected adapter, we changed it to :
realtek pcie gbe family controller - packet scheduler miniport
Then "Apply" -> "OK"

ok problem solved
