An introduction to vsftpd software

vsftpd is used on a variety of UNIX and Linux systems. vsftpd, also known as very secure ftp daemon, is a secure, fast, and stable FTP server capable of efficiently handling large numbers of concurrent connections.

  • Provides a secure architecture that executes each task individually based on the task's least privilege requirements.
  • Supports virtual IP configuration, which can be used to establish multiple FTP servers in the domain with an IP address provided.
  • Allows configuration and use of virtual users, separate from system users.

  • Support configuration of anonymous server, users can upload and download files without authentication.
  • The performance is stable and can handle a large number of concurrent connections.
  • Can be configured as a standalone server.
