Talking about the key points of App testing

In recent years, mobile apps have also continued to become popular. Mobile apps based on Android and ios are favored by many investors. The same is true for the mobile phone software testing industry.

What I hear most now is web testing and app testing, but in fact there is no difference between the two, and the nature is the same!

Apps on mobile phones are divided into HTML5 -based apps (similar to B /S applications on PCs ) and local apps (similar to C/S structures). Therefore, the test is completely combined with the b/s and c/s test experience of the web .

In the actual test work, the big difference between the two comes from the consideration of compatibility factors.

1. Web testing needs to consider both the realization of its own functions and the compatibility of the browser;

2. In addition to considering the realization of its own functions , the terminal App test also has to consider many external factors.

Such as: wifi network, device adaptation of different resolutions, compatibility, incoming calls, out of power and other factors.

However , most of  web testing and app testing are manual testing, and occasionally automated testing tools are used for simple testing work. For example, take the test app as an example, use TestWriter to automate its testing:

l Install, uninstall, and start app testing;

l Upgrade test, function test, data comparison test;

l  Disruptive testing of tests (including flight mode) under various network conditions;

l Whether the   app can be used normally when the battery is low , the app switching test (minimization, problems when switching multiple apps ); whether the app can be used normally after shutdown and standby, etc.

Of course, there are more test tools, you can search by yourself ~
