1 Mail server configuration

Enable notification status
    Configure OpenNMS -> Notification Status:

Configure the event to send notifications
    Configure OpenNMS -> Configure Notifications -> Configure Event Notifications

Configure notification policy
    Configure OpenNMS -> Configure Notifications -> Configure Destination Paths

Mail notification policy configuration
configuration file : etc/javamail-configuration.properties

org.opennms.core.utils.authenticate=true

Notification of users requires an email address on the user configuration page.
