• Character stream: When the program handles Chinese, the character stream is the most convenient
• Byte stream: When a program processes binary data (pictures, music, movies) or performs network transmission, or saves data to disk, it must be bytes;
• The byte stream interacts directly with the operating terminal, and the character stream needs to pass through the buffer
