use of maven

Download someone else's project from github, and an error is reported at runtime, saying that the HandlerMapping class is not found. Check it in the maven dependency, and the invalid LOC header (bad signature) is displayed. I later changed the jdk version in pom.xml, and changed the encoding format from gbk to utf-8 according to the prompt, and it was fine later, I really don't know what went wrong.
