strike while the iron is hot

Some time ago, for some reason, I needed to learn acupuncture. A friend happened to be a doctor, so I asked him to teach me injections at home after get off work every day. The learning process will not go into detail, in short, after a few days of learning, you will learn. Although it seems that injection is not a difficult job, there is one thing that I find particularly interesting.

When I first started getting injections, I couldn't get my hands off and I didn't dare to use too much force. I guess it was subconsciously, I was worried that I would pierce the bones with too much force! Therefore, the force is often too light, and the tie is too shallow. At this time, my doctor friend said that it doesn't matter if the piercing is shallow, just push it in slightly. I said, in that case, wouldn't the person being stabbed hurt a lot? My friend said that it won't hurt, it only hurts when the skin is pierced!

It turns out that when the needle is injected, it only hurts when the skin is pierced! Because the skin is our main protective barrier, most of the nerves are concentrated in the skin, so it only hurts for a while, and once the needle goes in, it doesn't hurt so much.

I then thought of the laws of memory and learning. When is our memory the most difficult and least efficient? It was the first time I remembered. At this time, not only was it time-consuming and laborious, but I still couldn’t remember well, and it was easy to forget! If you remember a few more times before you forget, the memory effect will be very good, and each time you spend, it will be much less than the first time, and the difficulty will be much less! This is strike while the iron is hot.

Zhu Zi once said: Reading is similar to boiling medicine, you should first boil it on a high fire, and then simmer it slowly. This is also about striking while the iron is hot! I hope that the students can pay attention to it in the study.
