Pyethapp is a python-based client that implements the Ethereum cryptoeconomic state machine. The python implementation aims to provide a codebase that is easier to abridge and extend. Pyethapp leverages two Ethereum core components to implement the client:
- pyethereum - core library featuring blockchain, ethereum emulator and mining
- pydevp2p - Peer-to-peer networking library featuring node discovery and transport of multiplexed and encrypted connections
